On Friday 13th May, the President of The Republic of Zimbabwe, His Excellency, Cde. E. D. Mnangagwe, presided over the ceremonial handover of the NMSI built Stoneridge Health Centre in Harare.  The joyous event was attended by a number of government officials, including the Honourable Vice President and Minister of Health and Child Care, General (Retd) Dr Constantino D.G.N. Chiwenga; the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Health and Child Care, the Honourable Dr J. Mangwiro; the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, the Honourable July Moyo; the Secretary for Health and Child Care, Air Commodore Dr. J. Chimedza.

Representing NMS Infrastructure at the ceremony was Country Director Iain Maclean, Alistair Johnston, the Business Development Manager for Sub-Sahara Africa, Group HR Manager Caroline Young, Construction Manager Donald Fraser and Brian Madamombe, NMSI’s Country Agent, as well as other members of the local Zimbabwe delivery team.

The event was extremely well attended, with a couple of hundred guests invited to the ceremony held on the grounds of the health centre, while there was a huge turnout of locals watching from outside the site fence.  Guests at the event who got to take a tour of the newly built facility, commented on the quality of the workmanship, as well as the high standard of medical equipment, describing it as a world class facility, with many of the locally trained nurses and healthcare practitioners showing a desire to be based at this facility.
