On Saturday 4th June, 60 members of the Cowdray community participated in the clearing of the Health Centre site on a voluntary basis. This included full clearance of the front of the site, as well as the creation of a 1-meter border around the outside of the fence on the other three sides.

The volunteers approached Manifest Construction Ltd to inform them of their plans and stated that this was ‘their’ hospital, keen to ensure that it remains clean and presentable.

Three further members of the Cowdray community thanked NMSI representatives for the building of the facility and for bringing healthcare to the area, with one commenting: ‘thank you, Sir, from the bottom of my heart. We have no health care facilities in this area.’’

The response from the community has been hugely encouraging and this attitude will spill over into ensuring the security of the site.
